The breastplates and ceremonial adornments of three generations of women

have been unearthed and are on display.  The composition depicts the middle age

woman in the center, flanked by the adolescent and the elder women. 

They are indelibly linked by their perseverance, and the fierce camaraderie

forged among the women. Not one outshines the other, each has their own

wounds made beautiful by the patina of time and wisdom.

The alliance which was once secret and disrupted by the limitations

of time, is shown and celebrated in unison here.

 

The Middle Age shield is positioned in the center.She carries both their bleeding hearts

on her chest, pierced recently with new arrows. They all hold pieces of each others’s

stories in the form of printed text and diary entries. In this aspect, all three are one.
