The Carapace Man

The tortoise shield hangs like a coat of arms to represent the good man in the tribe.

The kind, abiding man who nonetheless reserves the right to opt out

of the fight, prizing longevity over battle.

The Carapace man doesn’t easily fall victim to blame. He is the retired hunter

who prizes peace. Long-living and slow-moving, he has built his own protection

decorated with outdated achievements. Reluctant to change, when he feels

vulnerable, his head and limbs retreat within the shelter of his hard back,

showing only his best side: decorum, pride, and durability.
